Older dogs are great for older humans. They are relaxing and comforting. Older adopted pets seem to understand what you?ve done for them and return your kindness with uncommon love and devotion. They are easier to house train & at the shelter Max holds in until volunteers take him out. He may be big but he?s pretty good on leash especially with daily walks. He knows sit by command and is softly playful. We think at this time in his life Max would prefer to be your only fur kid and our staff say he?d be fine with kids over 6 that will understand being gentle with an older pet. As always bring your entire family along (children and any other dog) to meet your prospective pet to help ensure everyone is happy and well matched.
